| The roundhouse is on our allotment at the cliff edge overlooking
the Avon. In the cliff is Bucklewell cave, from which flows a
small stream from the Shirehampton Holywell. Below high tide in the
Avon are the remains of a late Mesolithic/early Neolithic fishing village.
Rocks of from the cliff were possibly quarried at this time and taken
upstream, and then up the river Trym for use in their chambered
tomb.

The
roundhouse was built - along with a huge outdoor round table -
for a party to welcome Ken Kesey and the Merry Pranksters on their Where's
Merlin tour last year (I've included a few pics of their bus Further). We later
visited them in Oregon for their Millenium Potlach. |

| Other pic's I'm sending are of us helping out at a 'reconstruction' site in Cornwall, and of the replica of Cabot's ship the Mathew passing the cave. We have taken over a bunch of derelict allotments and are looking for funds at the moment to open the site as an educational resource. We are hoping to have built a larger roundhouse by April next year - you are very welcome to stop and visit if you get the time. | ||
